Why Fairfield Should Vote for George Kennedy and K. Patrice Williams on November 3rd

Why Fairfield Should Vote for George Kennedy and K. Patrice Williams on November 3rd

Fairfield gets to make two important decisions on November 3rd.

Who leads the city as mayor. And who continues representing District 1 on the City Council. Both races feature candidates with deep roots in this community, genuine track records of service, and a clear vision for what Fairfield can become.

Two candidates on this ballot share a commitment to this city that goes deeper than campaign season. George Kennedy is running for mayor. K. Patrice Williams is running for re-election to City Council District 1. Together, they represent exactly the kind of grounded, community-rooted, results-focused leadership that Fairfield needs right now.

Vote for both of them. Here is why.

They Both Put Fairfield First

George Kennedy and K. Patrice Williams are nonpartisan candidates in a nonpartisan race, which means the conversation stays where it belongs. On Fairfield and the neighborhoods. On the specific challenges and specific opportunities that define daily life in this city for the families who actually live here.

That matters more than it might seem. Local government works best when elected officials are accountable to residents rather than to party machinery operating from somewhere else. Both Kennedy and Williams have built their public service careers around exactly that kind of direct community accountability. Their loyalty is to Fairfield, full stop.

George Kennedy Has Been Building This Community for Decades

George Kennedy has lived in Cordelia for over 30 years.

Three of his children live in Fairfield right now. Six grandchildren are growing up in this city’s neighborhoods and schools. When he talks about building a Fairfield worth inheriting, he is not reaching for a talking point. He is talking about the place where his family’s daily life actually happens.

His record backs that up in concrete ways. As Chair of the Fairfield Planning Commission, he has worked directly on the land use and development decisions that shape how this city grows. As former Chair of the Fairfield Budget Advisory Committee, he worked on the fiscal decisions that determine how Fairfield spends its money. He chaired the Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Task Force for Firefighters and Paramedic Services. Also, He served with Citizens for a Safer Fairfield. He sits on the Solano County Fair Association Board.

Beyond formal roles, he has built things Fairfield residents actually use. The Cordelia Tri-Valley Little League fields exist because he led the effort to construct them. Sixteen new pickleball courts, three tennis courts, and a Futsal court at Allan Witt Park exist because he worked with the City Council and staff to make them happen. Cordelia Community Park exists because he helped build it.

Professionally, he has spent his career helping businesses navigate government and compete for public contracts. He has paid specific attention to small and minority-owned businesses, helping them understand the public contracting process so they can compete successfully and create jobs in this community.

His vision for Fairfield as mayor is direct. Every neighborhood safe. Likewise, every business with a real chance to grow. Every family genuinely connected to their community. Every resident knowing their voice actually matters. And a decision-making process that draws from the people who live here rather than from one person behind a desk.

George Kennedy has been serving Fairfield long before this election. As mayor, he will keep doing it with the full authority of that office behind him.

K. Patrice Williams Has the Record to Prove It

When K. Patrice Williams ran for District 1 in 2022, she made specific promises. Four years later, the record shows she kept them.

She voted yes on Vista Ridge, converting a former hotel into 50 permanent homes for people transitioning out of homelessness, with on-site support services. Construction is currently underway with completion expected February 2027. She initiated the Quo Warranto investigation into Mayor Moy’s residency because she believes the rules for holding office should apply to everyone equally. Also, She voted no on unlimited campaign contributions, casting the lone dissenting vote because she believes local democracy should not belong to whoever has the biggest checkbook. She voted no on North Cordelia industrial development twice, both times because residents in Cordelia and Green Valley raised concerns about truck traffic and she listened.

She delivered infrastructure for District 1. The Red Top Road extension moved forward. Lopes Road received emergency storm damage repairs. The city’s structural budget deficit came down by $8 million during her first term.

Beyond her council votes, her community investment runs deeper than any elected role. She co-founded Solano Impact Care, providing personalized care and meaningful connection for people across Solano County navigating serious challenges. In addition, She founded Hazel’s Tranquility Place, a transitional home named after her mother, giving formerly incarcerated women and their children a safe home and a real pathway forward. She hosts Turning Point with K. Patrice Williams, a livestream show bringing honest conversations about community issues directly to Fairfield residents year-round.

As a council member, she brings a Juris Doctor from San Francisco Law School, an Economics degree from Sonoma State University, and more than 20 years of community service to every vote she casts. That preparation is not background noise. It shapes every question she asks, every budget line she scrutinizes, and every decision she makes for District 1.

Together, They Cover the Ground Fairfield Needs Covered

George Kennedy brings decades of civic and business leadership to the mayor’s seat, with a specific focus on planning, budget, public safety infrastructure, and creating economic opportunity for small and minority-owned businesses.

K. Patrice Williams brings four years of council experience, a documented voting record, deep nonprofit roots in the homelessness and housing space, and a communication platform that keeps District 1 residents informed and engaged between elections.

Together, they represent leadership that is grounded in this community, accountable to its residents, and focused on the practical work of making Fairfield better in ways people can actually see and feel.

Fairfield does not need to choose between competent leadership at the mayor level and competent leadership at the council level. On November 3rd, it can have both.
